Young Jeezy: Joins Ice Cube’s film
Rap star Young Jeezy is making his debut in feature film of rapper-turned-filmmaker Ice Cube’s latest comedy “Janky Promoters,” which is currently in production.
Marcus Raboy is directing the Dimension Films comedy, which is already shooting. They previously worked together on 2002’s “Friday After Next”.
On July 1, it was announced that Cube’s next film, “Janky Promoters,” will co-star Young Jeezy as a rapper. The plot centers on Cube’s and Mike Epps’ shady show-promoter characters. Cube wrote the screenplay.
The multiplatinum rap star Young Jeezy is working on the release of his third album, “The Recession,” through CTE/Def Jam. His previous album, “The Inspiration,” hit No. 1 on the U.S. pop chart in 2006
