For all of of our Atlanta Readers, The Show Me the Way Foundation will hold its anticipated Runway Red Back to School gala fundraiser to be held July 26th at America’s Mart in Atlanta that will feature child models and their celebrity parents.

Show Me the Way Foundation officially announces the 2008 Runway Red celebrity kids Fashion Show
Atlanta, Ga (PR Web) April, 2008 - The Show Me the Way Foundation is pleased to announce Runway Red, the 2nd annual charity fashion gala featuring pint -size socialites, mini-me movers and shakers and their well-known celebrity parental escorts. As the culmination to the foundation’s 2008 Red Campaign, the Show Me the Way Foundation transitions making a difference into a family affair by utilizing this initiative as a way to create exposure and raise imperative funding for children infected by or affected with HIV/AIDS. Runway Red takes place on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the America’s Mart in downtown Atlanta. Doors open at 5:00pm. Tickets go on sale today.
Set in the beautiful Penthouse Fashion Theater of the America’s Mart, upon entry guests will fall down a wonderland rabbit hole into a world of strawberry sherbet red carpets, lollipop partitions, gumdrop lined runways, and licorice VIP ropes complete with stretch luxury school buses parked outside. With celebrity support including the children/ family of Outkast, Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, Mayor Shirley Franklin and more - this year’s show aims to unite some of the most recognized faces and influential members of society to rally support in fighting an epidemic that effects millions of people every day.Statistics show that Georgia is the ninth state in pediatric AIDS cases in the U.S with the fifth highest rate of AIDS cases per 100,000 population for cases reported in 2001.Out of over 500 AIDS organizations in Georgia, there are only 13 that focus on children with HIV/AIDS. “Foundations such as Show Me the Way are unique and special because a cumulative total of 14 million children in the world have lost their mothers or both parents to AIDS (UNAIDS) and we focus many of our efforts on serving this specific demographic.”, stated SMTWF president/founder Tashawnya Menefee.
