High School Musical Chris Warren Jr

June 5, 2008 by Editorial Staff

Chris Warren Jr. from High School Musical has his big time out off the screen. The star, who plays Zeke Baylor in the TV show, shone as a natural leader while visiting his fans from different schools in Michigan. The aim of his appearance was part of a drive called the Meijer Good Schools for Grand Rapids that rewards excellent schools in the area.  He told fellow students, “If my school won a good school award, I’d think that was really great, which is why I wanted to be here today to congratulate you.” “I want you to stay in school and keep your focus.” But his most encouraging message was:  be true to yourself that is the best that one can be. Comparing with his fictional character, he explained, “Zeke is a jock, but he’s not afraid to say that he loves to bake, too.  “It’s a good message about stepping outside a stereotype and being true to yourself.”
